APC Postpones Reception for Defecting Governor in Taraba State Amid Abduction Concerns

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State has delayed the reception ceremony for Governor Kefas, who defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The postponement was attributed to the insensitivity of holding a political celebration shortly after the abduction of schoolgirls in Kebbi State.

Governor Kefas had already fulfilled the party's membership requirements, with 15 members of the Taraba State House of Assembly and the entire state executive council joining the ruling party. The event is now rescheduled for January as agreed upon by the APC leadership.
