APC Governors Secure Second Term Tickets in Primaries

In recent All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries, several governors were confirmed as candidates for second terms across various states. Abba Yusuf emerged as the APC consensus candidate in Kano, receiving unanimous support during the party congress at Sani Abacha Stadium.

Yusuf expressed gratitude to party members for their confidence and pledged to continue development projects in education, healthcare, agriculture, and infrastructure. In Kebbi, Governor Nasir Idris was unanimously endorsed by delegates across the state’s 225 wards, with Abdulmalik Mahmud, chairman of the APC governorship primary election committee, declaring Idris the sole candidate.

Uba Sani was confirmed as the APC governorship candidate in Kaduna with 459,393 votes, while Umar Namadi was endorsed in Jigawa. Moham Umaru Bago emerged as the unopposed candidate in Niger, and Dauda Lawal was affirmed as the consensus candidate in Zamfara.

Each candidate emphasized unity and commitment to ongoing development projects.
