APC Clears Abba Kabir Yusuf for Kano Governorship Bid

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has screened and cleared Abba Kabir Yusuf to run for a second term as the Governor of Kano State in the upcoming 2027 governorship elections. This clearance followed a successful screening exercise conducted by a committee led by APC National Chairman Nentaw Yilwatda.

The committee expressed satisfaction with Yusuf's performance and confirmed that he met all constitutional and party requirements to contest for re-election. In a statement from his spokesperson, Sunusi Batur Dawakin Tofa, Yusuf acknowledged the trust and support shown by the party leadership, which he stated would inspire him to focus on delivering meaningful development for the people of Kano.

He emphasized his commitment to policies aimed at promoting peace, economic growth, and inclusivity, urging party members to remain united and support the collective interests of Kano State as they approach the 2027 elections.
