APC Groups Compete for Kano Deputy Governor Position

Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, is set to appoint a new deputy governor to fill the vacancy left by Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo's resignation. Various groups within the All Progressives Congress (APC) are competing to influence the selection process.

The Progress Congress bloc has endorsed Dr. Rabiu Sulaiman Bichi for the position, emphasizing his experience and credibility.

Magaji Umar Gwamaja, a member of the bloc, highlighted the need for candidates to set aside any allegations of corruption to maintain public trust. The bloc aims to ensure that the new deputy governor can withstand public scrutiny and contribute meaningfully to governance.
