APC Commends Tinubu for Peace Meeting in Benue State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) praised President Bola Tinubu for his initiative in organizing a peace reconciliation meeting held on Sunday in Makurdi, Benue State. Benjamin Omal, the state APC chairman, described the meeting as a significant step towards fostering unity and strengthening the party in the state.

Omal expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for his commitment to Benue State and assured him of the party's loyalty. Governor Hyacinth Alia's role in promoting unity within the party was also acknowledged.

The meeting, convened at the new banquet hall of the government house, aimed to reconcile differences among party members, particularly between Governor Alia and Senator Georg Akum, who reportedly had disagreements over automatic ticket allocations for upcoming elections. APC National Vice Chairman for North Central Zone, Mu Azu Rijau, expressed satisfaction with the meeting's outcomes, emphasizing adherence to established guidelines for party primaries.
