APC Kogi West Chairmen Oppose Karimi's 2027 Candidacy

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmen in Kogi West have issued a warning against Senator Karimi's candidacy for the 2027 elections during a press conference. The statement, signed by thirteen state executive members and local government party chairmen, highlights a loss of confidence in Karimi's ability to represent the interests of constituents.

They cite allegations of ineffective grassroots engagement and a lack of visible legislative achievements during his two-year tenure, which they claim has contributed to declining popularity and dissatisfaction among stakeholders. The party leaders urge the APC leadership to withhold support for Karimi's re-election bid and recommend convening an emergency stakeholders meeting to identify credible candidates capable of securing victory for the party.

Additionally, they propose a reconciliation framework to rebuild trust and unity within the party. Despite the criticisms, APC officials reaffirm their loyalty to the party and support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
