Arewa Community in Lagos Petitions Tinubu Over Marginalization

The Arewa community in Lagos State has formally petitioned President Bola Tinubu regarding perceived marginalization within the All Progressives Congress (APC). On Tuesday, they protested at the APC secretariat in Ikeja, presenting a letter that outlines their grievances against attempts to undermine their community structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The letter was signed by Alhaji Musa Saleh, the secretary of the Arewa community, and addressed to Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, the Lagos State APC chairman. The petition highlights the community's historical loyalty and contributions to the APC since its formation, emphasizing their critical role in the party's electoral successes.

The Arewa community, which includes significant populations in various local government areas such as Agege, Mushin, and Ikoyi, seeks recognition and support from the party leadership to ensure their interests are represented.
