Arewa APC Leaders Demand Gulma's Removal in Lagos

On April 6, 2026, leaders of the Arewa APC in Lagos State submitted a petition to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, demanding the removal of Chairman Sa’adu Dandare Gulma due to allegations of gross misconduct and financial impropriety. The petition, which was signed by 40 out of 57 local government chairmen, accuses Gulma of undermining unity and failing to engage in reconciliation efforts within the party.

The group has unanimously passed a vote of no confidence in Gulma's leadership and is urging the governor's chief of staff to ensure justice and restore unity within the Arewa APC structure. Copies of the petition were sent to various stakeholders, including the Lagos State Commissioner of Police and traditional leaders.
