APC Accuses Makinde of Inciting Violence in Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde for allegedly inciting violence with his remarks at a summit held in Ibadan on Saturday. APC's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, stated that Makinde's comments invoke a violent history and could fuel anarchy and lawlessness in Nigeria.

Morka emphasized that Makinde's rhetoric is not merely opposition posturing but poses a clear threat to national peace and security. He called on relevant security agencies to take action to safeguard lives and property, highlighting that no individual, regardless of their position, is immune from accountability for actions that threaten national security.

Morka also criticized the opposition parties, particularly the People's Democratic Party (PDP), for their internal conflicts and alleged anti-democratic practices. The APC reaffirmed its commitment to mobilizing effectively for the upcoming 2027 general elections and rejected any attempts to confuse opposition leadership with alarmist narratives.
