Tinubu Holds No Grudge Against Osifo in APC Primaries

At a declaration event in Abuja, Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate for the 2027 elections, stated that he holds no grudges against Stanley Osifo, his sole contender in the primaries. Tinubu expressed his willingness to engage in dialogue with political opponents and critics of his administration.

He emphasized that democracy is built on diverse ideas and beliefs, not uniformity, and that engagement should be rooted in sincerity rather than anger. Osifo, a businessman from Edo State, had paid N100 million for the APC presidential nomination form but refused to step down for a consensus arrangement, leading to a primary election where Tinubu received 16,503 votes nationwide.

Tinubu disagreed with the notion that opposition features in democracy are threats, asserting that democracy thrives on diverse beliefs and ideas.
