Tinubu Submits Nomination for APC Presidential Primaries

On May 4, 2023, Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), submitted his nomination form at the party's national secretariat in Abuja. This submission marks the formal launch of his campaign for a second term in the 2027 presidential elections.

Vice President Kashim Shettima also submitted his nomination form, expressing strong support for Tinubu's candidacy. The APC began selling nomination forms on April 28, 2023, with the process scheduled to close at midnight on May 6, 2023.

Screening of candidates is expected to commence on May 7 and conclude by May 12, 2023. The elections for the presidency and the National Assembly are set for January 16, 2027, while governorship and state house assembly elections are scheduled for February 6, 2027.

Various state governors and APC members attended the submission event, showcasing their support for Tinubu's leadership and performance over the past two years.
