Ekiti Rep Akinlayo Kolawole Rejects APC Primary Results

Akinlayo Kolawole, the representative for Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2, has publicly rejected the results of the APC primary election conducted on Saturday. He is contesting the outcome announced by Banjo Adedoyin, which declared Ibrahim Olarewaju as the winner with 6,856 votes, while Kolawole received 2,102 votes.

Kolawole's statement, supported by his special assistant Kunle Adetifa, claims that the results do not reflect the votes freely cast by delegates and calls for a review by the APC's national leadership. He expressed concerns that the process leading to the declaration of results fell short of principles of transparency and fair due process.

Kolawole urged party members to remain calm and assured that every legal step would be taken to protect the mandate and preserve the integrity of the electoral process in Ekiti North Federal Constituency 2.
