APC Primaries: Aspirants Reject Results, Protest in Abuja

Following the senatorial primaries held by the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday and Tuesday, more than ten aspirants across various states have rejected the results, claiming the electoral process was marred by irregularities. Aspirants, including Yusuf Ibrahim Zailani from Kaduna and Abdulmumin Kundak from Bauchi, have publicly stated that no valid primaries were conducted in their districts.

Zailani emphasized that the process lacked transparency and did not meet APC's standards. Similarly, Ayo Aris from Ekiti and Mari Ekper from Cross River have voiced their discontent, asserting that the results do not reflect the actual voting outcomes.

The aggrieved aspirants have threatened to escalate their complaints by protesting at the APC national secretariat in Abuja. Despite their appeals, the party has indicated that grievances should be addressed at the state level through an appeal committee, which will handle complaints regarding the primaries.
