APC reclaims Adamawa House of Assembly seat

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reclaimed the Ganye constituency seat in the Adamawa State House of Assembly. The seat was previously lost by the APC last year after the death of member Abdulmalik Musa.

In the by-election held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, APC candidate Misa Musa Jauro emerged victorious, defeating his Peoples Democratic Party counterpart Buba Muhammad Joda. The final result was confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer, Professor Tukur Ahmed, who announced the outcome at 5 am on Sunday.

The victory marks a significant win for the APC in what was projected to be a closely contested race.
