Abba Yusuf Submits APC Nomination for 2027 Election

On Friday, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State submitted his nomination form to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in preparation for the 2027 governorship election. His spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin Tofa, disclosed this on Facebook.

Yusuf was accompanied by former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senator Kawu Sumaila, and other dignitaries. In a statement, Governor Yusuf described his declaration for a second term as a renewed commitment to the people of Kano State.

He outlined priorities including urban renewal projects, road construction, drainage expansion, and modernization of markets. He also pledged to invest in rural development, emphasizing the importance of feeder roads, water supply, healthcare centers, and schools in rural communities.

Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to agricultural empowerment programs, youth job creation, and improving education and healthcare delivery. He expressed gratitude to the people of Kano for their continued support and confidence in his leadership, assuring them of greater dedication and transparency in governance.
