APC Postpones Gov. Kefas' Defection to January 2026 Amid Disciplinary Actions

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State has rescheduled Governor Kefas' defection from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to January 2026. The postponement was announced by APC Chairman Barrister Ibrahim El Sudi, citing undisclosed reasons.

The initial defection event scheduled for November 19 was postponed following the kidnapping of students in Kebbi State. The party has also initiated disciplinary actions against ward executives accused of violating the party's constitution, urging aggrieved members to seek internal dispute resolution mechanisms before resorting to court.
