APC Spokesman Arrested for Kidnapping, Killing Case

The arrest of an APC spokesman, identified as Ogbuatu, has been confirmed by Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, following allegations of his involvement in the kidnapping and subsequent killing of a traditional ruler from Ndufu Alik Community in Ikwo Local Government Area. The deceased monarch's abduction, which involved armed men demanding ransom, resulted in severe physical injuries to him before his death, sparking outrage and grief within the community.

Governor Nwifuru disclosed that during an internal party meeting, Ogbuatu allegedly provided bank account details related to ransom negotiations. Investigations revealed that the account was used for ransom payments.

Security operatives traced Ogbuatu's phone to establish contact with the kidnap gang, leading to the arrest of suspects. The governor assured that investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the monarch's abduction and death, emphasizing the community's demand for justice.
