APC Endorses Alli for Oyo Governorship Race in 2027

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have reportedly backed Alli as the consensus candidate for the Oyo State governorship race in the 2027 elections. Alli has previously served as the Secretary to the Oyo State Government and as Chief of Staff to former Governor Rashidi Ladoja, who later became the chairman of Odu Investment.

The party stakeholders are expected to convene in Abuja on Friday, March 27, to deliberate on possible accommodations for multiple aspirants, with sources indicating that consultations are ongoing within the party to ensure all interests are considered. Additionally, it was noted that President Bola Tinubu has proposed Alli as a candidate, but this does not signal a conclusion to the selection process, as further consultations are ongoing across the country to secure support for the aspirant.

The APC appears inclined toward a consensus arrangement rather than direct primaries.
