Oyo APC Leaders Endorse Alli for 2027 Gubernatorial Race

On Friday, prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State convened in Ibadan to endorse Senator Sharafadeen Alli as the consensus candidate for the 2027 gubernatorial elections. The meeting, attended by key party members from the five geopolitical zones of the state, was primarily aimed at affirming Alli's candidacy.

Hamzat Adeseun, a chieftain of the APC, explained that the decision followed extensive consultations to strengthen the party's position. Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, another party leader, disclosed that President Bola Tinubu has already endorsed Alli as the preferred candidate for the upcoming elections.

The leaders emphasized the importance of aligning with this consensus decision to promote the party's interests in Oyo State.
