APC Commits to Boost Women's Governance Representation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is committed to expanding women's representation in governance, as articulated by Prof. Nentaw Goshw Yilwatda, the APC chairman. He made this declaration on Tuesday while receiving Dr. Mari Alil Idel, the APC national women leader, along with six zonal women leaders and state women leaders at the party's national secretariat in Abuja.

Yilwatda acknowledged the significant contributions of women to the party's success, describing them as enduring pillars. He drew an analogy between women and flowers, stating that women bring beauty and value to the nation.

He assured that women possess the necessary leadership qualities to excel in public office and emphasized the need to break gender barriers in politics. Yilwatda also stated that the APC will ensure women's voices are heard in the upcoming 2027 general elections, reinforcing the party's commitment to gender representation in governance.
