APGA clinches Senate, House of Assembly seats in Anambra by-elections

APGA has emerged victorious in the Anambra South Senatorial and Onitsha North State Constituency by-elections held on Saturday. In the Anambra South Senatorial race, APGA candidate Emmanuel Nnamdi Nwachukwu secured a resounding win, defeating his closest rival from the APC.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Nwachukwu the winner after he polled the highest number of votes. In the Onitsha North State Constituency election, INEC announced Ms Ifeoma Azikiwe of APGA as the winner of the Anambra House of Assembly seat, defeating her closest rival from the ADC.

The results were announced by the INEC Returning Officer, Ibiam Ekpe, who disclosed the vote counts for each candidate. APGA's success in both races solidifies their position in Anambra politics.
