APM Sees Makinde's Popularity as Key to 2027 Victory

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has expressed confidence in the popularity of its Presidential Candidate, Seyi Makinde, who is also the Governor of Oyo State, as a promising sign for the party's prospects in the 2027 Presidential election. Abubakar Yusuf, the National Publicity Secretary of APM, noted that Makinde resonates well with young Nigerians due to his history of supporting their causes, including his participation in the 2020 EndSARS protest and his opposition to the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government's ban on X (formerly Twitter) in June 2021.

The APM emphasizes that Makinde's "Reset Nigeria Agenda" aims to foster transparency, accountability, and youth empowerment in governance. The party is committed to strengthening its structures nationwide to ensure the protection of votes and mandates in the upcoming elections, reflecting the confidence placed in them by the Nigerian populace.
