APMT Launches New Customs Offices to Boost Port Efficiency

APMT has officially commissioned newly renovated customs offices within the Lagos Port Complex, marking a significant step in efforts to improve cargo handling efficiency and accelerate clearance processes at one of West Africa's busiest maritime gateways. During the commissioning ceremony, Kamal Alhraishat, Managing Director of APMT, emphasized that the introduction of these new customs offices will serve as a central hub for customs services, enhancing the operational experience for stakeholders.

The facility is designed to streamline the cargo clearance process, removing inefficiencies that have historically characterized the system. Adebowal Lawal Ibrahim, Port Manager of the Lagos Port Complex, commended APMT for the renovations, noting the positive impact on order and control within the port environment.

Emmanuel Oshoba, Customs Area Controller at Apapa Port, praised the initiative for providing a conducive work environment that aligns with professional standards, ultimately enhancing service delivery and stakeholder morale.
