NSC Board Commends APM Terminals for Port Efficiency

The Nigerian Shipper Council (NSC) board, led by Chairman Dr. Ibrahim Shehu Shema, commended APM Terminals for setting a benchmark in port efficiency during a familiarization visit to its facility in Apapa.

Shema reaffirmed the council's commitment to its statutory role in regulating the nation's port economy and highlighted the necessity of collaboration across the maritime value chain to achieve competitive efficiency. The council aims to enhance service delivery and align with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, urging stakeholders to deepen cooperation.

Dr. Piu Akutah, the council's Chief Executive Officer, emphasized ongoing regulatory oversight to ensure compliance and improve performance within the sector.

Kamal Alhraishat, Managing Director of APM Terminals Apapa, noted the terminal's implementation of an electronic data interchange system, which replaces manual processes, enhancing operational efficiency and accuracy. Adegboyega Oyetola, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, also praised APM Terminals for its contributions to export growth.
