APP Names Chima Amadi as Imo East Senate Candidate

Chima Matthew Amadi has emerged as the consensus senatorial candidate for the Imo East Senatorial District, representing the Action Peoples Party (APP) for the upcoming 2027 general elections. His candidacy was unanimously endorsed during a zonal congress held at the Iwuanyanwu Glass House, with support from party leaders across nine local government areas in the Owerri zone.

The motion for his candidacy was moved by Hon. Ugochukwu Metford Nnah, the Mbaitoli local government area chairman, and seconded by Engr.

Henri Alarib, receiving overwhelming support from delegates. The congress was monitored by a committee led by Barr.

Ob Agor and officiated by representatives from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), including the Imo State Resident Electoral Commissioner. Amadi is recognized for his grassroots mobilization and humanitarian activities, which have garnered him strong support among youth, women, and professionals.

He expressed his commitment to service-oriented leadership and addressing the security concerns in Imo State.
