NSC Honors Young Athletes in Abuja and Asaba Tour

The National Sports Commission (NSC) is conducting a nationwide youth appreciation tour to recognize outstanding young athletes, with recent events held in Abuja and Asaba. The Abuja leg took place on Wednesday, attended by key figures including NSC Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko, Director General Hon.

Bukola Olopad, and former Minister of Youth and Sports Development Hon. Sunday Dare.

A total of eleven athletes have been honored so far, with significant financial rewards given for their achievements. Notable recipients include Rosamari Chigozi Nwankwo, who received 3 million Naira, and Miracl Oluebub Ezechukwu, who also received 3 million Naira for their performances.

The NSC aims to strengthen partnerships within the school sports ecosystem and ensure that athletes receive necessary support. The tour will continue in Uyo, with plans to honor additional junior sports stars as part of NSC's broader strategy to support and reward emerging talent in Nigerian sports.
