ARCON Announces Special Recognition Awards for 2026
The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has scheduled its inaugural expanded edition of the ARCON Special Recognition Awards (ASRA) for October 23, 2026, in Lagos. The awards, themed “An Evening of Many Honours,” will celebrate excellence, compliance, and significant contributions to Nigeria’s advertising and marketing communications industry.
Dr Olalekan Fadolapo, ARCON Director-General, stated that the initiative aims to acknowledge individuals and organizations positively impacting the industry. The awards will recognize contributions across four categories: Advertising Compliance, Public Sector, Private Sector, and Individual Recognition.
Yinka Adebayo, Chairman of the ASRA Planning Committee, explained that the awards process will include nominations, eligibility screening, technical assessment, public voting, jury review, and ratification. Nominations opened on August 31 and will close on September 13, 2026.
Voting is scheduled from September 20 to 27, with jury selection from September 28 to October 2. The awards ceremony will take place on October 23, 2026.
