ARCON Sets Date for Special Recognition Awards 2026

The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) has announced that its inaugural expanded edition of the Special Recognition Awards (ASRA) will take place on October 23, 2026. The awards aim to honor individuals, brands, and organizations that have significantly contributed to the growth and professionalism of Nigeria’s advertising industry.

Themed “An Evening of Many Honours,” the awards will recognize achievements in four categories: Advertising Compliance, Public Sector, Private Sector, and Individual Recognition. Dr Olalekan Fadolapo, ARCON's Director-General, stated that the initiative encourages compliance with advertising regulations while also celebrating broader contributions to the marketing communications ecosystem.

Yinka Adebayo, Chairman of the ASRA Planning Committee, outlined a rigorous selection process for the awards, which includes nominations, eligibility screening, technical assessment, public voting, jury review, and final ratification. Posthumous awards will also be presented, alongside the Industry Lifetime Contribution Awards and Distinguished Service Recognition Awards for professionals with sustained contributions.
