Ardo Calls for Deregistration of Nigeria Democratic Congress

Ardo has publicly explained his reasons for seeking the deregistration of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). During an appearance on a television program, he alleged that the NDC failed to comply with constitutional electoral procedures necessary for political party registration.

Ardo stated that the registration process requires the submission of a formal letter of intent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which should include the party's name, acronym, logo, and other relevant documents. He claimed that the NDC's logo resembles that of an existing political party and that they did not complete the required forms or upload necessary documents to INEC's portal.

Furthermore, Ardo mentioned that the NDC had not received a response from INEC regarding their registration request and that they should have challenged INEC's decision in court within 14 days. He emphasized that the NDC's failure to meet the conditions for registration warranted legal action.
