Arewa APC Lagos Suspends Chairman Sa’adu Dandare Gulma

The Arewa APC Lagos State has officially suspended its chairman, Sa’adu Dandare Gulma, effective April 7, 2026. This decision was made by the Arewa APC leadership council following consultations aimed at maintaining order and discipline within the party's structure.

A letter signed by Shehu Usman Jibrin, on behalf of the council, directed Gulma to hand over all official documents and properties belonging to the organization. The suspension follows a petition filed by 40 leaders and chairmen across 57 local government areas, accusing Gulma of gross misconduct, abuse of office, financial impropriety, and violating internal rules.

Concerns were raised regarding Gulma's leadership style, which allegedly deepened divisions within the group and sidelined key stakeholders. The petition also highlighted issues related to financial accounts and unilateral appointments within the state executive.

The suspension notice was sent to several stakeholders, including Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and security agencies. Gulma has not publicly responded to the allegations.
