Arik Air Diverts Flight to Benin as Precautionary Measure

Arik Air diverted flight W3 740 from Port Harcourt to Lagos to Benin Airport as a precautionary measure after an unusual sound was heard in the left engine of the Boeing 737-700 5N MJF aircraft. Adebanji Ola, the Public Relations and Communications Manager of Arik Air, confirmed the incident.

The 80 passengers on board were safely disembarked with no injuries recorded. The operating crew managed to land the aircraft safely in Port Harcourt.

Arik Air extended sincere apologies to the affected passengers for the disruption in their journey, emphasizing safety as a top priority. Further details regarding the specific reason for the diversion have not yet been released.
