Arms Control Center Destroys Recovered Weapons in Calabar to Enhance Security

The Nation Centre for Small Arms and Light Weapons (NCCSALW) in Calabar has initiated the destruction of arms and ammunition surrendered by 80 repentant militants in Cross River State. The formal handover of the cache of weapons to the state's security adviser marked the beginning of the statutory procedures for disposal in line with national regulations.

The move follows a disarmament exercise conducted by the Cross River State government, with commendations for the initiative aimed at curbing the proliferation of illicit arms.
