Niger-Delta Militants Surrender to Nigerian Army in Cross River State, Marking Major Peace Breakthrough

In a major development, Niger-Delta militants surrendered to the Nigerian Army in Cross River State, specifically in the Akpabuyo Local Government Area. The surrender, which followed the militants' voluntary decision, involved two camps led by Thankgod Ebikontei and John Isaac.

A total of 80 fighters from these camps surrendered various arms and ammunition, including rifles, guns, explosives, and military equipment. The surrender is part of the amnesty program aimed at reintegrating repentant youth and ensuring peace and stability in the region.

The Cross River State government, alongside the military, commended the surrender as a significant milestone towards peace and security.
