Army Chief, Oluyede, Visits Katsina over Recent Killings, Vows to Flush out Bandits

Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, the Chief of Army Staff, visited Katsina State in response to recent killings by bandits and vowed to eliminate the criminal elements terrorizing the farming community. During his operational visit, Oluyede expressed the Nigerian Army's commitment to ending banditry and insurgency in Katsina.

He promised to identify and neutralize the kingpins responsible for the violence in the state. Oluyede described the recent attack in Mantau community as unfortunate and assured that the enemy within Katsina would be eliminated.

He emphasized the importance of synergy between the army, state government, and residents in tackling the security challenges. Acting Governor Hon Faruk Lawal urged the Army Chief to deploy troops and equipment to combat the bandits effectively.

The visit aimed to show solidarity with the people of Katsina and enhance security measures to bring peace and development to the region.
