Army Highlights Role of Rigorous Military Preparation During Peacetime

Major General Muhammed Takuti Usman, former GOC 81 Division, highlighted the importance of training in maintaining combat readiness and leadership development.

The Army held the Nigerian Army Guards Brigade 2025 Combat Proficiency Competition in Abuja to reinforce its commitment to operational readiness and national security. The competition aimed to test tactical skills, equipment, and foster decisive leadership.

General Usman stressed that training is the foundation of military effectiveness, especially in the face of evolving security threats. The event, which will run for several days, includes various military activities to assess officers' mental resilience and physical capabilities, encouraging a winning mindset and preparing them for complex missions.
