Arsenal Signs Piero Hincapié Permanently from Leverkusen

Arsenal has finalized the permanent signing of defender Piero Hincapié from Bayer Leverkusen, with the deal expected to take effect on July 1. Hincapié, a 24-year-old Ecuadorian international, had been on loan at Arsenal during the previous season, where he became a key member of the squad, contributing to their Premier League title win.

Arsenal reportedly paid around £35 million for Hincapié, securing his services with a long-term contract that is said to run until 2031. He made 39 competitive appearances last season and played crucial matches, including fixtures against Manchester City and Burnley, as well as in the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Hincapié is currently on international duty with the Ecuador national football team, participating in World Cup matches, including a 1-0 defeat to Ivory Coast and a goalless draw against Curaçao, with an upcoming match against Germany.
