Arsenal Eyes Victor Osimhen as Transfer Alternative

Arsenal has reportedly identified Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as a potential alternative if they cannot secure their primary target, Julian Alvarez, this summer. Manager Mikel Arteta continues to pursue Alvarez, who has a valuation exceeding £100 million from Atletico Madrid, making a deal challenging for Arsenal.

Osimhen, a Nigerian international, has established himself as a prolific striker, particularly during his time at Napoli and currently at Galatasaray. Although Arsenal is monitoring Osimhen's situation, no formal approach has been made yet.

The 27-year-old striker's attributes, including pace and physical strength, would provide a different profile for Arteta. Additionally, Galatasaray has expressed interest in Arsenal players Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri, which could influence discussions between the clubs.

Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has mentioned Osimhen's name in conversations regarding potential transfers, but it remains unclear how the discussions originated. For now, Alvarez is Arsenal's preferred target, but Osimhen's proven record makes him an attractive option.
