Arsenal Eyes Victor Osimhen as Transfer Alternative

Arsenal Football Club has reportedly identified Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen as a potential alternative in their search for a new centre-forward, should they fail to secure their primary target, Julian Alvarez from Atletico Madrid. According to the UK Telegraph, manager Mikel Arteta considers Alvarez his preferred option, following an impressive season in Spain after leaving Manchester City.

However, Atletico Madrid has set a valuation of over £100 million for the 26-year-old Alvarez, a figure that Arsenal has found challenging to meet. Consequently, the north London club is exploring other options, with Osimhen emerging as a candidate.

The Nigeria international has established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, particularly noted for his contributions to Napoli's Serie A title success. His performances at Galatasaray have further solidified his reputation as a high-level goalscorer.

Arsenal is monitoring the situation, but there is currently no indication of a formal approach for Osimhen.
