On Tuesday, Ed Sheeran's North and South American tour faced turmoil as four supporting acts—Aaron Rowe, Beoga, Lukas Graham, and Finneas—abruptly exited in solidarity with Macklemore, who was removed for making pro-Palestinian remarks during a performance. Sheeran had stated that the decision to drop Macklemore was made by the tour's promoters, not him, and he expressed his commitment to his fans and crew.

Finneas announced his withdrawal on Instagram, stating, “Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed.” Rowe and Beoga, both Irish, referenced their country's history with colonialism and expressed their commitment to activism. Lukas Graham described their decision as difficult, emphasizing that financial power should not dictate who can speak on social issues.

The situation has placed significant pressure on Sheeran, who has sought to remain apolitical amid the ongoing Gaza conflict.
