The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is challenging the election of Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the Governor of Ondo State at the Supreme Court, despite the recent ruling by the Appeal Court affirming his victory in the November 16, 2024 gubernatorial poll. The Appeal Court had upheld Aiyedatiwa's election alongside his Deputy Governor, Olayide Adelami, after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared them winners.

The ADC candidate, Adeyemi Nejo, is approaching the Supreme Court to overturn the Appeal Court's decision, citing alleged non-compliance with the Electoral Act. Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the reaffirmation of his victory and commended the justice system for upholding the people's choice.
