Northern Leaders Unveil New Security Blueprint to Tackle Insecurity in Nigeria

Northern leaders, including governors of 19 states and traditional rulers, recently met in Kaduna to address the worsening security situation in Northern Nigeria. Led by the Sultan of Sokoto and the Chairman of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council, Moham Sa'ad Abubakar II, the leaders discussed strategies to combat the heightened security threats, such as killings, banditry, and kidnappings.

The region has been plagued by insecurity for decades, affecting socio-economic activities and leading to widespread poverty and hunger. The meeting aimed to provide long-term relief and transform the security framework to protect the people and restore peace in the region.
