Tems and Burna Boy Lead African Artists on Billboard Hot 100

Nigerian artists Tems and Burna Boy have achieved a significant milestone by becoming the African artists with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, surpassing the South African group Seether. Previously, both Tems and Burna Boy had seven entries each.

This week, Tems earned a new entry at number 34 with her feature on J. Cole's album "The Fall Off," while Burna Boy debuted at number 78.

This brings the total number of Billboard Hot 100 entries for Nigerian artists to eight. Tems has had three entries this year, including "Raindance," "Dave Need," and the latest "Bounce Road Blue," making her the leading African artist in terms of entries for the year so far.

Additionally, Burna Boy has made history as the first African artist to have songs on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years, with entries including "Love" (2021), "Last Last" (2022), and "Sittin' on Top of the World" (2023).
