Ashiru Launches Duke’s Masterclass for Governance Improvement

Otunba Bimbola Ashiru, former Ogun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, unveiled Duke’s Masterclass, a high-level leadership platform designed to strengthen governance and improve strategic communication and reputation management across Nigeria's public and private sectors. The initiative aims to equip decision-makers with global best practices to enhance institutional performance and crisis management leadership.

Ashiru emphasized the need for Nigerian leaders to be exposed to international best practices and encouraged a culture of accountability and collaboration. He described Nigeria's civil service as highly capable but often constrained by poor leadership.

The program will culminate in a communiqué containing practical recommendations for government and corporate institutions. The faculty includes respected figures such as former Commonwealth Secretary-General Emeka Anyaoku, former advisor to former British Prime Minister Theresa May, Dr.

Nero Ughwujabo, and former Ghanaian Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
