ECAN Summit to Assess Tinubu's Education Reforms

The Education Minister, Dr. Tunji Alausa, is set to lead discussions at the Education Correspondents Association of Nigeria (ECAN) summit, marking three years of education reforms under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.

The summit, themed "Three Years of Tinubu Administration: Assessing Reform Progress and Challenges in Nigeria's Education Sector," will take place on July 15, 2026, at the Barcelona Hotel in Wuse II, Abuja. Mr.

Chux Ukwuatu, ECAN Chairman, disclosed that the event aims to bring together policymakers, education experts, and media professionals to evaluate the impact of the administration's education reforms and explore strategies to tackle ongoing challenges in the sector. Key attendees will include Dr.

Maruf Alausa, Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu, Executive Secretary of TETFund, Sonni Echono, Registrar of NECO, and Prof.

Ibrahim Wushishi, Registrar of JAMB. The summit will also recognize individuals and institutions that have significantly contributed to advancing education in Nigeria.
