Gombe Police Arrest Two Suspects in Aishatu Salisu Murder

Aishatu Salisu, a mother of five, was fatally stabbed during a robbery attempt at her residence in Wuro Shie Quarters around 4:35 am on Saturday. The assailants, armed with machetes and cutlasses, invaded the home of Inspector Salisu Waziri, a police officer with the Safer Highway Patrol.
Family members reported that Aishatu was attacked by suspected phone snatchers and stabbed when she raised an alarm. Following the attack, the Pantami Divisional Patrol Team responded and rushed Aishatu to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe, where she was pronounced dead.
DSP Buhari Abdullahi, spokesperson for the Gombe State Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated that two suspects, Muhammad Bashir Sale, 20, alias “Full,” and Musa Sale Ahmad, 18, alias “Abba,” were arrested. Preliminary investigations revealed the suspects confessed to their involvement, and a sharp knife was recovered as evidence.
The suspects have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for ongoing investigations.
