ASUU to Decide Next Move in Dispute with FG at NEC Meeting

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) disclosed that the National Executive Council (NEC) will determine the next course of action in the ongoing dispute with the Federal Government. ASUU President Chris Piwuna stated that despite no concrete progress in negotiations, the union remains steadfast.

The union's Abuja zonal coordinator, Professor Abdullahi, emphasized the need for a systematic approach in dealing with the government. ASUU members are growing impatient and may resort to nationwide protests if necessary.

The dispute revolves around the unimplemented 2009 Agreement covering university funding and lecturer welfare, with ASUU demanding immediate action from the government.
