NNPCL Declares Nigeria as Reliable Global Energy Supplier

At CeraWeek in Houston, Texas, Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), stated that Nigeria is positioned to reclaim its status as a reliable global energy supplier. This announcement comes amid ongoing geopolitical tensions, particularly the US-Israel conflict with Iran, which has disrupted oil supply chains.

Ojulari highlighted that Nigeria's crude output is expected to rise moderately by 100,000 barrels per day, despite a budget benchmark of 1.84 million barrels per day for 2026. He credited President Bola Tinubu for granting NNPCL greater operational autonomy, which enhances decision-making and project execution discipline.

Ojulari also noted the significance of the Dangote refinery in reducing Nigeria's exposure to global supply volatility. He emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with international oil companies (IOCs) and resolving long-standing disputes, such as those involving Eni and Shell, to foster investment in Nigeria's oil and gas sector.
