NNPCL Oil Output Projected to Reach 1.84m bpd by 2025

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced that its crude oil production is expected to rise to 1.84 million barrels per day (bpd) by 2025, a significant increase from a historical low of 960,000 bpd recorded in 2022. This growth is attributed to the establishment of integrated energy security measures aimed at enhancing pipeline security in the Niger Delta region.

Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, made this disclosure during a parliamentary roundtable on pipeline security held at the National Assembly in Abuja. Ojulari emphasized that the success of the security arrangements is not coincidental but is a result of a comprehensive model combining legislative, executive, and policy actions, along with intelligence and regulatory oversight.

The roundtable featured key stakeholders, including the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and highlighted the need for collaboration among agencies to address challenges hindering production growth.
