Minister Musawa Promises Tourism Sector Revitalization

At the book launch of "Feet Saw" by Gershon Ogbuluijah, Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, emphasized Nigeria's vast but untapped tourism potential. The event took place at the Exhibit Pavilion in Abuja last week.

Ogbuluijah shared his experiences from six years of traveling across 14 African countries, covering 14,000 kilometers, to educate readers about tourism in Africa. He highlighted the importance of tourism as a source of education, citing his grandfather's formal education and language skills.

The event showcased various places of interest across Africa, including Nigeria. Minister Musawa disclosed that the federal government has significant plans for the tourism sector, including funding to improve infrastructure.

She mentioned an upcoming announcement regarding the reconstruction of hotels in Abuja, including a new five-star hotel, and emphasized the integration of cultural and creative tourism activities throughout the year to attract more visitors to Nigeria.
