Shettima Advocates Unity and Sacrifice for Nigeria's Progress

On Eid-el-Kabir, Vice President Kashim Shettima called for national unity and shared sacrifice among Nigerians. He urged citizens to draw inspiration from the values of faith and sacrifice exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim, emphasizing the need to build bridges of brotherhood and sisterhood to overcome divisions.

Shettima noted that the nation cannot thrive in an atmosphere of mistrust and urged Nigerians to rise above ethnic, religious, and political differences to confront common challenges. He reaffirmed the commitment of President Bola Tinubu's administration to address insecurity, stabilize the economy, create jobs, and expand opportunities for citizens.

Shettima acknowledged the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and security agencies, stating that despite the challenges, Nigeria is steadily advancing on the path to peace and sustainable development. He appealed for continued support for the President's reform agenda, highlighting that shared sacrifice is essential to overcoming insecurity and poverty.
